John Wilkes Booth


            The Civil War many problems for both the Union and the Confederacy. It impacted the lives of many poeple. John Wilked Booth is a person was impacted negatively. Abraham Lincoln was the final victimof Booth's problems. He was assassinated by a famouse actor who hoped to change the way War was going.
             John Wilked Booth was born May 10, 1838. He was raised near Bel Air, Maryland. His father amd brothers were also famous actors. Booth studied in Philadelphia with Gordon Samples to take acing classes. He had a lack of confidence in which did not help his theatrical career. John Wilkes Booth was a shakespearean actor. He worked at Arch Street Theatricle in Philadelphia before moving to Richmond, Virginia where he got a job at Old Marshall Theater. In 1859 he left Richmond Theater company. Many people say the John Wilkes Booth was engaged to a girl name Elizabeth, but it is known if he married her. At the beginnin of the Civil War, Booth decided not to join to Confederate Army. He supported the Cond federate caused and in 1864 began smuggling medical supplies for the south. He became more and more angry with and began to gather conspirato who plotted to abduct Lincoln other Union leaders. Lincoln was shot and killed on April 26 1965 after he shot and killed Abraham Lincoln at Fords Theater inn Washington D.C. After he had shotLincoln he ran on stage and shouted out "Sic Semper Tyrannis" for his last line. He escaped to a barn with and injured leg and he planned to head for southern Maryland. Two A.M. Spril 26 Booth was found and finally killed on April 26, 1865. Booth was buried in Washington D.C. beneath the floor of the Penitentiary.
