Hafsa Bint Umar: The Wife With a Hidden Voice

In addition, there is much in the Qur'an that discusses the importance of a woman providing sex for her husband, "Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth, when or how you will (2:223)-(___). It is also the duty of the man to sexually satisfy his wife, "'Do not have intercourse with your wife right away. Wait until she is as sexually aroused as you are (Al-Mughni)- (___). .
             In addition to serving as an example of the purpose and function of marriage, the marriage between Hafsa and Muhammad has also provided insight into the personality of Muhammad. He is revealed in many of the sources as a very politically conscientious leader entering his marriage to Hafsa.
