My Grandparents - The Dance that Lasted a Lifetime

He started to run after her as she turned the corner. He yelled, "LILA!".
But nothing the young gorgeous women didn't even turn his direction. He continued to sprint and again, within what he was sure to be ear-shot, "LILA!".
Again the beauty didn't even turn. At this point Nick was feeling pretty unsure of himself. He could let her go though. He ran fast and grabbed Lila by the arm, oh so gently, "Lila are you not even gonna say hi to me?" Surprised by his sudden appearance and at the question, Lila responded with, "I thought I heard my name but I figured no one here knows me." .
Nick smiled that big ear to ear grin that made him look so charming. Nick had big lips that fit well, for all of his features were large. The brightness in his eyes, shown through like a fluffy white cloud on an otherwise bright clear crisp blue day. He looked her dead in the eyes and said in a deep and romantic tone, "Are you ready to marry me yet?".
Lila said, "Yes," and they were wed! As the years pass, they were blessed with four children. They struggled with money, but they loved with their whole hearts. Nick and Lila raised their children with all the love their parents never gave them. Two beautiful girls who were the sweetness of sugar and spice. Two boys that were crazy and daring, snips and snails, and puppy dog tails. Their children were raised with the values of hard work and family priority. Lila could cook up a storm, feed all the kids in the neighborhood, which she had done more than once. Their house always smelt of fresh baked goods and brewing coffee. Theirs was a place that always felt like home. Lila didn't know a stranger, anyone was welcome in their home and would be treated as family. They lived in a three bedroom house and often times had at least one additional family living with them. Nick worked at the butcher shop and did side jobs of shoeing horses.
