Huckleberry Finn Influences and worlds

In "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," Huck is influenced by the various settings - or "worlds - around him. Out of the three "worlds" that Huck lives in, he prefers to stay on Jackson Island with his friend Jim as opposed to anywhere else. Huck believes that the island is the best setting to reside in because he was safe from his abusive father and was able to live by his own rules and ideals; without the restrictions or morals of Ms. Watson. .
Initially, Huck does not particularly enjoy being the only man on the Island, but once Jim arrives, Huck tells Jim "there's nowhere else I would want to be." Implying that the island is definitely Huck's most preferred setting; especially because he's with his friend. One might argue that Huck enjoyed staying by Mrs. Watson and Widow Douglas, but the broad picture shows that Huck does not feel free or happy. He expresses to the audience that he always felt restricted and felt the need to conform. Despite Ms. Watson's constant efforts to make Huck feel like he belonged and help maintain a proper education, Huck always hated having to behave in a formal manner and constantly study and learn. The result of all this pressure led Huck to run away from St. Petersburg and leave to the island where he would be able to express himself and be a free man. It is evident that Huck did not enjoy the lifestyle which Ms. Watson and Widow Douglas supplied for him, despite their good intentions. .
There is no argument that Huck did not enjoy his life in the woods. Even though Huck enjoyed nature and having his own independence, he could never enjoy life while in the presence of his abusive father which led him to live in constant fear that his father who hit him, or worse, beat him. In addition, Huck mentions that he attempts to escape the cabin in the woods several times because it "was dreadful lonesome." It is clear that Huck did not prefer the cabin in the woods as his ideal setting due to the abusive atmosphere and his many attempts to escape the cabin.
