The Contradictions of Capitalism

This difference in beliefs creates conflict which pulls the process of taking 305 in two different directions. If enough students decide to learn Marxist ideals, it is possible for those ideals to tug political processes in favor of Marxism. For example, Marxists may be elected into federal government positions where they pass legislation mandating all profits go to workers. Should this happen, our society would be in the beginning stages of a transformation from capitalist to Marxism. .
We now return to Capitalist surplus appropriation. In it's most basic form the social activity of capitalist labor appropriation is divided into two subsets of processes: class and non-class. Class processes are defined as any processes relevant to the appropriation and dissemination of surplus, and are further divided into fundamental and subsumed subgroups. Non-class processes are any other processes present in society. The fundamental class process-carried out by the fundamental classes- is responsible for the production of surplus, surplus being any value (usually money in capitalism) appropriated by the capitalist which isn't spent on the production process i.e labor, machines, and raw materials. The subsumed class process, performed by certain members of the fundamental classes, is responsible for the dissemination of the surplus. .
More specifically, the surplus is disseminated by the direct producer capitalists to the merchants, landlords, moneylenders, money dealers, supervisory managers, and owners of industrial enterprises who comprise the subsumed classes. Without the subsumed classes, the fundamental class would cease to exist. That is, the subsumed classes provide the conditions of existence for the fundamental class. Example: landlords control land which is both finite, and essential to the direct production capitalist. Without land the capitalist cannot build his/her factory, and therefore cannot produce surplus.
