My personal political ideology is environmentalism. After learning about all of the different ideologies, I felt like I connect most with environmentalism on many issues. I first believed I was a liberal, but then I learned that environmentalist share many of the same views on issues. Meaning that environmentalism is sort of a form of liberalism, but a little more specific to the environment. I did not even know an environment ideology existed. I am an avid tree hugger, and I care a lot about the environment. I desire to do everything I can to protect our precious mother earth. I strongly agree with reducing pollution and preserving natural resources. I would say I am a part of liberalism, but I want to be more specific and get involved in certain beliefs I strongly care about, like the environment. All of the surveys and activities I took in class stated that I fit into many green friendly groups. I know I am more on the left side because I disagree with many conservative views, such as I believe the government should be active in solving society problems, which challenges the conservatism ideology. I do not quite side with socialism as I do not believe that America should ensure a fair distribution of wealth, which is the main goal of socialism. I agree with some goals libertarianism has, but not all, such as the conservative view on economic issues. That is why I am in the liberalism ideology, but more specifically in the environmentalism ideology. .
Within the environmental ideology, the party I compare most commonly with is the Green Party. The "I side with" activity stated that I am 92% compatible with the Green Party, outweighing than any other party. Truthfully, I was pretty surprised, but then I read about this group. I treasured pretty much every view they possessed on each issue. I love how environmental friendly they are. One view we both share is that we strongly agree that animal lives and environment must be protected.
