Visual Analysis of the Powel House


            Walking into the room of Powell house from the joining corridor with the Marmion room, a geometrical seven-sided empty room, abundant colors and patterns filled here. It was hard to categorize this room in to one style or culture. The level of details stops people, the longer the observation the more understanding comes out.
             The design of the room from the Powell house is a mixture of multi-cultures. The most eye-catching pattern that comes to the view is the painted Chinese-style wallpaper on three sides of the room, where the forth side is filled with elegant geometry of wood.              Within these glamorous details, there are some potential orders that control everything, and even the people reaction to them. According to western living room design, the fireplace with a painting above usually becomes the orientation of the room where everything is radically arranged towards it.
