The Alchemist by Paublo Coelho

People nowadays tend to give up on their dreams that were supposed to accomplish in life, either because of rocks on their way or because they lose inspiration. There are a few people in this world that have aspirations of achieving big things in life, and usually those are the ones that separate themselves from the rest of the world. These people are called legend makers; people who never gave up on their aspirations. In the book called The Alchemist written by Paulo Coelho he illustrates the story of a guy in which for some reason believed that what he was doing; was not enough for his life. .
According to the book, is it possible to live a fulfilling life without ever achieving one's Personal Legend? Coelho paints the picture perfectly of a legend maker named Santiago; he was a young courageous Andalusian shepherd who slept under a sycamore tree that grew out of the ruins of a church. Every time he slept under this tree he had the same exact dream of a child telling him to go out and seek a treasure at the foot of the Egyptian pyramids. Santiago knew a gypsy woman who knew how to interpret dreams so he went and seek for her help. This lady interprets Santiago's dream as a sign that he needed to go to Egypt. While she was telling Santiago to go to Egypt an unexpected magical old man named Melchizedek, who claimed to be the King of Salem heard what the gypsy woman was saying so he told Santiago that it was his Personal Legend to expedition to the pyramids. .
When Santiago made his decision on seeking for his dreams he had to sell his flock and initiate his journey to Egypt. Across his way to Egypt he went through some adversity in which included thieves taking his money. At this point Santiago was at Tangier, forced to find work with a local crystal wholesaler. Santiago taught some business moves to this merchant, he encouraged the merchant to take chances with his business. The risks paid off and both of them became rich in only one year.
