Make sure to use information from the assigned readings to back up your conclusions and offer citations.
             1. A postmodernist is knocked off his bicycle and is rushed to the hospital. He is in some pain and a bit disoriented and has no say in the hospital's decision to X-ray his head and arm. On regaining his senses he is told that the X-ray shows that his arm is broken. Does he believe them?.
A postmodernist would not believe the doctor, because they simply want to challenge the "myths " of the modern era. In their point of view, you do not have to be a licensed doctor to understand how to tell a bone is broken or not, and you do not have to have a X-ray photo taken to tell how your bone looks like. Because in their belief, there is no truth. While every individual may have different opinions on debatable topics and preferences for different arts, it is normal for me to love a painting, and for others to hate it. But unfortunately, a postmodernists would not only have personal opinion on art, but they also have a personal opinion on hard fact science. This is not right, because they are not experts in this field of study, how could they question everything without even trying to understand it. In addition, much of science has been test repeatedly tested and proven to be facts. Postmodernist are just ignorantly denying true and undeniable facts. .
             2. Sherrie Levine uses appropriation in a very controversial way. Her process is to photograph reproductions of famous images and then claim those images as her own. One photographer whose work she has appropriated is Edward Weston. He exploited the technical capabilities of photography to the fullest. No reproduction can match the tonal range and detail of one of his original prints let alone a reproduction of a reproduction. Given this, has Levine actually appropriated Weston's work? You have been offered either a Weston vintage print or a Levine appropriation of the same image.
