Theism and Modern Science

And therefore based on his earlier prediction he concludes that the survivor does not have the nature and intentions Crusoe had predicted This thesis relates to the metaphysical idea of God and how we view him based on scripture yet, from what we have empirically observed we see notable differences. For example why would God create a universe so big with trillions of galaxies that man cannot observe? This brings into question why create all these galaxies that man cannot live in, leave alone travel there just to admire its beauty. It is logically probable to question that God did not form these galaxies and if he did it seems quite pointless because no matter how beautiful they are we can only imagine and contemplate them.
Whereas Crusoe's illustration focused on how God and the universe are to some extent incompatible to disprove his existence or his nature differences, the antitheism further solidifies this point by simply revealing that based on modern science, the God we have read about in the book of Genesis cannot exist. .
Everitt concludes his argument by claiming that the findings of modern science significantly disprove theism. He argues that humans are the "jewels" of the universe for reasons not entirely clear. This postulation is rather contradicted by several facts. If humans are the jewels of the universe then one can only deduce that nothing could exist contrary to human flourishing. But this hasn't been the case. Furthermore still working under the assumption that humans are the jewels of creation he adds that you cannot expect humans to come into existence so long after the animals and yet according to modern science humans have not existed for 99.99% of earth's history. And yet given the scenario by Genesis one would expect humans to appear fairly soon after animals. Moreover as traditional theism illustrates the size of the universe should not be that much greater in comparison to earth, so as to be accessible to human exploration.
