Grendel could represent Demon that can change appearance to attack people, even though he has already known as the descendant of evil that kill his brother.

Grendel's mother who tempted and kill people of the land could portray as the Devil. Grendel's mother lives in a dark and hidden, "hole" (cavern) and "hollow place which denotes the hell where Devil lives. The various part of the poem shows familiarity to Christian religion and the idea of Grendel and his mother who tormented people as a Satan who tempted the religious follower. .
             Beowulf is demonstrated as an honor to his race as Christ was demonstrated as Christian messiah who came to give up his life to safe his people. Jesus Christ was sent by God and he is recognized as the only bigoted son that everyone believes as the intermediary to God so also is Beowulf as well was sent by King Hrothgar to deliver his people and as intermediary to the king. According to John 4:34, In King James version, "Jesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" so also beowulf was sent to do the job of the king who portray as God in the poem.
