             The following is an essay of Cesare Beccaria. It will detail his life, his education, his upbringing, his friends that have helped influence him and most importantly his contributions to the criminal justice system as we experience it today. I will also explain his main contribution "on crime's and punishment" a book that was written by him in the year 1764. In general, I will explain to you the story of cesare beccaria and his theory and as well as his system of thought.

             Who is Cesare Beccaria? .
             Cesare Beccaria was born on March 15th, 1738. He was born into a aristocratic family in Milan Italy. Beccaria went to a Jesuit school and received most of his education from this institute. During his early twenties Beaccaria was befriended by two brothers by the names of Alessandro and Pietro Verri, The two brothers had formed a brotherhood, which was known as the Academy of the fist. In 1758 he received his degree from the Jesuit school he had attended and three years later in 1761 he got married to women by the name of Theresa di Blanco, this was against both of there parents wishes. .
             Next he joined the Academy of fists, the Academy of fists was dedicated to waging war against economic disorder, religious persecution and reforming the criminal justice system. Through the academy Beccaria was acquainted with British and French philosophers such as Hume, Helvetius, Diderot, and Hobbes. The academy also encouraged Beccaria to study most of the works by the enlightened authors of France and England, Beccaria did not speak to much about most matters that where happening in Italy and as well as the other surrounding countries but he was again encourage by the academy to write essays and papers that were causing problems throughout the lands.
