The Cadillac, CTX

In the 2013 Investment Guide special issue of Forbes, you open to the first two pages to see a car advertisement. This advertisement was by Cadillac and covered the span of two whole pages. The first page was a landscape (widescreen) shot of what appears to be a road, it is very distinct from the bottom of the image to about where the road ends implying that you are looking at this scene while moving at high speeds. On the top, left, and bottom sides of this page there is a black border, thick on the top and bottom and thin on the left. In the top left hand corner there is the Cadillac logo, and to the right of the logo in small gray font are the only words on the page; they say "The Standard of the World". .
The next page is a continuance of the scene with the road but on this side you see the Cadillac driving on a bridge with the supports blurred to imply that the car is going fast. The car itself is stocky looking with a sleek black paint job, the reflection is very pronounced showing the sky and the bridge infrastructure. There is a shiny chrome grill on the front of the car with the big Cadillac logo in the center. This picture gives a feel of luxury where not often found, your commute to work, implied by the type of bridge one would assume that the car was driving into a heavily populated area. Around the picture on the top, right, and bottom there is once again a black border. In the top border there is a phrase that says "Obviously, we are BULLISH ON THE FUTURE." This means that they are sparing no expense and with a rise in luxury means a rise in price and they are not afraid to admit that. In the bottom of the ad it states the model of Cadillac and the key features that make it stand out from other cars. .
This ad was well coordinated and was placed in a prime location due to the fact that the readership of this magazine is mainly wealthy middle upper-class and upper-class individuals whom are the most likely to buy a new car of this price range.
