The Lynn Shoe Industry

It appears to be very hot inside of his shop because the way the door of the house was left opened. The old man looks like is living a simple and quiet life because of the atmosphere that is surrounding him.  He seems relax, wearing comfortable clothes, and hat to block the sun, while he sits outside on a chair a front of his ten-footer/ house enjoying the outdoor he is working. He has a hammer and a rock on his lap hitting a leather fabric.
A small little ten footer shop with little windows, decorating high end molding hanging off a front of the house, and the picketed fence. I also think it is his little shop because of the advertisement business sign he has a front of the house that shows people who are passing by what his expertise are. All these small details explain who this man is, his talent, and the love for his work. There is a dirt road a front of the house, explain that his shop is from a busy area. The bushes a front of his house doesn't look healthy, because of the vines running through them make me believe that he doesn't know much about lands keeping because he's very busy making shoes for his customers. There is a tree behind his shop, with their branches over the roof of his shop. Next to his shop there a little pond, which doesn't seems to be part of his property because the way the fence is surrounding it. Far away in the back I can also see what looks like a small trail where people travel to come to his shop to get their shoes made or repair. The photographer captures the image, without him knowing because of the angle of the face he was not paying attention to the camera.
The second image is a lithograph of the V.K. and A.H Jones Shoe Factory; of the modern shoes factory in the later 19th century. The architectural structure of the building is so beautiful; it doesn't look like a shoe factory it's about seven stories high with a lot of windows.
