The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison


            A person that is lonely , has lack of love, and is hating there own race can cause them to have change in attitude towards life and society. In the novel The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison a drama about a girl name pacola, who looks down on her own race and wonders why white little girls get more respect than black girls; also Cholly Breedlove who treats his wife with the lowest respect ever and Pacola"s mother Pauline who never got attention from her mother when she was a child. lack of love causes all four charters downfall because their experience of non-love never going to know how the feeling of love is.Lack of love is not ever experience love or the feeling of being loved.
             Cholly Breedlove suffers lack of love towards his mother and father which causes his distraction to rape his daughter Pacola. Cholly Breedlove was abandoned by his mother and rejected by his father, he never had the experience of love. on page (162 and 162) the narrator says," how dare she love him had not she any sense at all .what should i do for her." Cholly did not understand why and how his daughter would love him, because his hatred of himself made him think everyone should hate him as much as he hates himself because of the past he has. When Pacola loves her father he see's his wife Pauline the so called love he shows the same love and effect ion to Pacola and causes him to rape her. on page (162 and 163) his down fall on rapping his daughter he see,s Pacola as his wife the narrater says," the rigidness of her shocked body, the splice of her attuned throat who better than Pauline's laughter had been." The love he gives to his wife, that is the same love mr. Breedlove gives to his daughter. .
             Pauline's lack of love toward her mom causes her refuse to show any love to her daughter Pacola. As a child pauline had a lot of siblings and her mother could not give her attention to each child so much so she was one of her mothers kids to not get much love or attention from her mother.
