Sleepy Hollow - Stage Production

Its folklore is about a teacher named Ichabod Crane, who enchanted with Katrina Von Tassel during a rivalry with another suitor named Brom Bones. Stories of ghosts are shared one night at a Von Tassel gathering when Crane leaves that night, encounters the Headless Horseman, and then was to never be seen again. The story consequently brings an adoration story and a ghost story together, yet above all it is satirical. The plot is engaging in regular feelings, yet the story makes fun of groups that are sleepy in the point that they need ghosts and ghost stories to keep individuals involved. It likewise makes fun of a teacher who should be one of the most astute individuals in the town, but instead he puts his trust in ghosts and is effortlessly spooked and deceived by a joke. The teacher plays second fiddle to the sports, solid Brom Bones. Irving paints a solid differentiation between the characteristic setting of Sleepy Hollow and the extraordinary superstitions of the townspeople. Were it not for the people, with their stories of ghosts and their apprehensions of apparitions, there would be no ghosts. In the meantime, a significant part of the story concentrates on the regular setting. This included the feathered creatures, trees, the remains of the verdure of the region, and the waterways, all depicted in lovely detail.
Despite the fact that "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is a happy story, told in a funny way, it does not paint the most complimenting picture of mankind. It presumably does not "fast a kindhearted perspective of personal inclination." This is especially valid in the wild narrow-mindedness seen in the greater part of the characters. Most clearly, Ichabod wishes Katrina above all else for the increment to his material riches she would speak to and he envisions himself auctioning off her family's homestead once it would be on his own in exchange for money. When Ichabod demonstrates his better qualities, assisting around the ranches, he stays around while keeping the kids and wives cheerful.
