Realism in A Rose for Emily

In "A rose for Emily" by William Harrison Faulkner, Emily Grierson was descended from an esteemed family. Although there were many things had changed outside, Emily still kept all the things as when her father alive. The summer after her father's death, townspeople in Jefferson saw that Emily usually goes with Homer Baron - a foreman from North America come to Jefferson to build sidewalks. One day, someone saw that Emily buys poison, everyone thought that she would commit suicide. However, shortly after, they saw her go shopping for wedding stuff, they considered that Emily and fellow North America will get married, but there was no any wedding. Later, Emily died and was buried by townspeople. People explore all the things about Emily who slept with Homer's corpse. There is no rose in this story, even if yes, the rose means Emily who belongs to people that have a isolated life with the modern life. Even though there are many details that show "a rose for Emily" is a fictitious story, Emily is realistic.
One way in which she is realistic is she is weird. The first thing creates the weirdness of Miss Emily is her hair. Emily did not care about her appearance so that she had "pepper-and-salt iron-gray hair." (Faulkner) However, she is not alone in being weird. There are many people who have "pepper-and-salt iron-gray hair."(Faulkner) For example, last week, there was a Vietnamese woman in the Mcdonalds. She came to ask someone to drive her to her house. She also has iron-gray hair as miss Emily Grierson. I had not asked that Vietnamese woman about her name yet because she tried to ask many funny questions about everything such as how I can drive, does the noodle box that I put in the back seat could eat and so on. So that, Emily is just the one who is weird as another and she is realistic. .
Also, she can be considered real because she lied. When coming to the poison shop, she told a lie. Emily was buying rat poison for rats while she was getting it to kill Homer.
