Hamlet and Ophelia

In Shakespeare's play Hamlet, Hamlet finds out that his father has been murdered. While planning on taking revenge on Claudius the murderer of his father he finds along the way some emotions towards Ophelia. Hamlet feels affection and rejection towards Ophelia but nobody really knows whether he really loves her or not. Hamlet had loved her but started to act weird after seeing his father's ghost his mind was set on getting revenge towards Claudius so this lead Ophelia and Hamlet to tragedy because they were both acting crazy. Ophelia, as a female character is suppressed by hamlet in her romantic relationship with him as a cause of Hamlet's selfishness, self-destruction and developed hatred towards women.
Throughout the play Hamlet, Hamlet only cares about his own misery happening in his life without thinking about the other people's problems and causing them to suffer. Hamlet shows selfishness throughout the play by taking revenge but making many others suffer which were many unnecessary deaths. In the first few scenes in the play, Polonius, Guildenstern and Rosencrantz die which were caused by Hamlet. As the play progresses, Hamlet does not show any signs of guilt or responsibility for his behaviours. An example of a life he took was Polonius's. Hamlet did not feel guilty or sorry that he has taken Polonius's life he in fact wanted him to die as well he said "Thou wretched, rash, intruding fool, farewell. I took thee for thy better take thy fortune."(3.4.22) Hamlet has left a little time to grieve about the loss and the mistakes he has done. After a while he decides to go back to mother to discuss to her about her wedding and pretended like nothing happened because he has to avoid the unnecessary deaths and he forgets all about Ophelia so he can just get revenge. Hamlet has written a letter about Rosencrantz and Guildenstern and it said they were to be executed but he has no sympathy towards Rosencrantz and Guildenstern because they betrayed him.
