Aristotle was one of the great minds in the entire history of the world. He could think of concepts so far ahead of his time, it seemed crazy at the time. He thought of modern democracy back in Roman Empire, and he figured out the social classes and the fact that every citizen has a job to do in their community. De Teocqueville is similar, yet differs from Aristotle in some ways. He too believes that the best government out there is American Democracy and that every citizen has a job to do for his community. But, he does not believe that you are stuck in ones' social class like Aristotle. Aristotle believes everything is here on earth for a specific reason, i.e. the plants are here for the animals, and the animals are here for us while the plants are also here for us providing oxygen. Another main difference is De Teocqueville believes the local government is far more important that the states. Although Aristotle and De Teocqueville agree in some points In government, it doesn't translate to society and all of politics. .
Both Aristotle and De Teocqueville think that every citizen that can make an educated vote should vote. There are people out there that would like to vote, but because of their race, literacy, and not owning property. Voting is a big deal to both of these people. The only way to achieve an extremely efficient government, you need everyone who can vote to vote. This way, the representatives are representing everyone they can possibly represent. Now they also have to be trustworthy and do as the people say, it's a two way street. They both agree the perfect government could possibly be a republic democracy, but only with the right people running the government. They agree on this concept of a republic, and both agree that in order for it to run as smooth as possible, people need to be active in their voting process. .
Both of these men think people have certain roles in society, and they both agree that some jobs are more important, and others are more desirable.
