Televison Program Summary - The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire diaries series has never really added drugs into any of the episode due to the fact that the show is directed towards a younger audience. In this episode had a lot of violence in it, many of the characters got killed, They killed off a lot of the characters in different ways which made it a lot more violent, such as explosions, burnt alive, snapped necks and ripped apart. Compares to other episodes that I have seen there was not much sex involved in this episode besides for the make out session at the end of the episode. the network that airs The Vampire Diaries does not condone obscene language so there is never really that many swear word that are used in any of the episodes. .
             2. What was the nature/context of the action (violence, sex, drugs, obscenity)?.
The whole episode was pretty violent. It starts off when Elena and another character Caroline got o find new witches to help them with a spell. When the witch they found refused to help bring back Stefen from the dead with a spell. Caroline decides to snap the witches' brothers' neck in order for her to help. Later in the episode both Damon and Elena go on a suicide mission in order to help open the portal from the "other side ". In order for it to work they needed to blow up most of the town which killed a lot of people. They showed a lot of burnt bodies after the explosion. There wasn't that much sex in the show beside for the two characters making out at the end. .
             3. How graphic or realistic was the SDVL content?.
When it came to the Sex and Language it was pretty realistic and normal for this show. There were no drugs shown in this show. The violence was pretty realistic as well. At the beginning of the episode when they snapped one of the characters necks it seemed very really and the way he reacted to it made it seem like he was actually dead. Also when one of the vampires stepped into the sun and started burning, the graphics seemed very real and made it look liked he was burnt alive.
