Since the beginning of time stories of heroes have been told and passed down from generation to generation. With every great story there is not only a hero, but there is also a villain.              To me, the villain is the more dramatic character. I believe they are sometimes just misunderstood which is another reason I feel so connected with this character. I have gone through thing in my life that have made me not trust people so I always have my guard up and never let people get to close, and too often this makes me misunderstood. Villains are always the ones with the agendas. Whether they want to rule the world, become immortal or have all the power in the world, they all desire something and will stop at nothing to get it. They are willing to risk anything to see their agendas fulfilled. Nowhere is this more evident than in the 2014 movie "Maleficent." .
             Maleficent, like all villains have the same characteristics of a downfall into darkness, her changing appearance, and her evil intentions towards humans. Maleficent is known as one of the most evil women in our childhood stories and her journey into darkness has finally been told. Innocent would be the word that everyone in the kingdom would describe Maleficent as when she is a young girl. She is full of grace and poise, caring for all the creatures in the land. In the beginning Maleficent did not have evil intentions. It is not until her heart is broken from a young peasant boy, Stefan, that her heart is filled with darkness.
