Little Red Riding Hood by Charles Perrault

Charles Perrault's story of "Little Red Riding Hood" begins when there once lived a village girl that had breath-taking beauty. Her mother adored her but her grandmother idolized her more to the point where she had made her a little red hood. She had loved and cherished that little red hood so much that she was known as "Little Red Riding Hood". One day her mother had baked some cakes and a little pot of butter and told her daughter to carry these items to her ill grandmother, who lived in another village. As she trod through the woods, she came across her neighbor, Wolf. When coming across Little Red Riding Hood, he had the sudden urge to eat her right there and then, but he held back because there were some woodcutters nearby wandering in the woods. The naive little girl then discussed her plans on going to her grandmother's house and bringing the items that she possessed to her sick grandmother with the wolf. Giving the location of her grandmother, the Wolf then disguised a plan to not only eat Little Red Riding Hood, but her grandmother as well. He proceeded this plan by telling her that she should stop to gaze upon the beauty of the forest by taking the long route, while he would take the short route instead. .
The Wolf then ran across the path and reached Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's house. He knocked on the door and deceived the grandmother into thinking it was her granddaughter. He was then given instructions on how to open the door and he ate the grandmother and lay in the bed, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood to arrive. Finally, Red arrived at her grandmother's house and knocked at the door. The Wolf responded, which frightened Little Red Riding Hood, but assumed it was her grandmother's cold and decided to walk in. Wolf told Little Red Riding Hood to place the cakes and the pot of butter on the bin and to climb into bed with him. She did as she was told and climbed unto the bed and removed her clothes.
