It all began one cold winter night in a small town called Brainerd. Sarah was sitting at home doing her math homework and playing with her dog, Bear like she does every night after class. She was having a hard time concentrating on her homework because just hours before, her husband Zach had left for deployment. Fighting back tears she called her mom and told her how lonely she was in their big empty house. Finally after getting her math homework done and cuddling up with Bear, Sarah managed to fall asleep. And that is when it began. This is the story of a great friendship. 3 months into her husbands' deployment, Sarah began to realize that Bear was also getting lonely. They missed Zach so much and it seemed like the days were dragging by. .
Now that finals were done, Sarah was contemplating getting another puppy. She wanted Bear to have someone to play with and she wanted to have more animals to fill the void in her heart. Then Jax happened. Jax was a purebred English bulldog with a tough face and the most loveable eyes. At just 14 weeks, Jax stood tall and proud, like he could protect anyone from anything. Sarah knew that he was meant to be a part of their little family. When Bear met Jax for the first time, it was like they had known each other for years. Bear was a big 10 year old chow/lab mix and loved to run, jump, and play. Jax was the complete opposite and loved to take naps, have his belly rubbed, and cuddle all day long. The only time Jax would play was when Bear was around. Even though the two were exact opposites of each other they were brothers and loved each other. Bear and Jax ruled the house when Zach was gone. They ran wild and played all day with Sarah. They were the men of the house and made her feel safe when she was alone. Jaxs' favorite thing to do was play outside in the yard and take naps in the dog house with Bear. Sarah would often find them napping together when she would get home from school.
