Narrative - Philip Pirrip in Great Expectations

Salutations, my bibliophilic colleagues. My name is Philip Pirrip, oftentimes called Pip. I am a fictional character created by Charles Dickens during the prosaic year of 1861. My childhood was a tarnished reality of orphanism. My parents died when I was 2, and since then, my sister – who is 20 years older than me - Mrs. Joe Gargery and her husband, Joe Gargery have taken care of me. Joe is a blacksmith and my best friend. My childhood was consumed in the marsh area of Kent, twenty miles from the British Channel. Now, I am 35 years old; please allow me the honor of narrating the manuscript of my life. .
When I was small, I was fragile and never was strong. Although, I seemed to be destined for a career as a blacksmith. However, an unanticipated manacle of events impelled me into a tremendously diverse life. I began to be influenced by various people. I was uncaring. Uncaring about the fact that I was poor. And uncaring about the fact that I would never fit into my profession. Then I encountered Estella. A beautiful, stunning, striking, and drop – dead gorgeous girl of the upper class. And yes, I fell in love with her. That one kiss we shared, was the kiss of a lifetime. A king would give up his throne in the face of true beauty, and I gave up my life, in the want for more. And then, change befell me. I became humiliated of my family due to our despicable financial standing in the society, and from then, I only desired joining the upper class. .
When a mysterious sponsor assisted me to escape the lower class, I voyaged to London as a teenager, to become a gentleman. I thought this mysterious sponsor was Miss Havisham, Estella's adoptive mother, whom I assumed wanted to make me desirable for her daughter. Initially, I was filled with expectations, and was totally induced that I was meant to marry Estella. I spent a lot of money and was still ashamed of my poor relations. Therefore, I replaced Joe as a guardian with Mr.
