Interviewing for My Visa

The day that I got my visa is still fresh in my mind. The buildup to the interview was nothing short of climactic. When I recall those days, I realize that they were one of my most tense periods. But after the interview was over, I realized that there is no substitution for hard work. It was difficult for me to schedule an interview with the embassy. I had to go through some obstacles to fix the interview date. After filling out the interview form, I rushed home to check the next available date. But as soon as I glanced up at the computer screen, I couldn't believe my eyes: the nearest date available was December 23, 2014. I had heard rumors that one is not given a visa after his interview date passes December 15 of that year. I was shocked and thought there must be something wrong with the computer. I decided to go to bed. The next morning, as soon as the cock sounded, I leaped up from my bed and sat in front of my computer. To my relief, the next date was around December 5, 2014. So, without any delay, I pushed the schedule button beside the date.
Scheduling an appointment was the easy part, which I found out after the week that followed. I was running around from here to there to get my documents ready for the interview. Frankly, I didn't think it would be such a difficult task. But, as I looked down at the documents required page, I was stunned. The number of documents needed kept on piling up. After getting all my documents ready, I anxiously waited for the day of my interview. As soon as the clock hit 6:00 AM, I jumped out of the bed and rushed towards the bathroom. After I was all groomed up, I caught a cab to the U.S Embassy. It was around 8:00 AM when I reached my destination.
The scenario of that place took the breath out of me. It was swarming with students like me and their parents who were eagerly waiting for their children. I had a quick look at my watch: it was around 8:30 AM. I made up my mind to enter the premises of the building.
