Short Story - New Jersey, Baby!

            "Ow!!" My brother screamed out as he tried to open the car door. My family had just finished packing their bags. My tia, Yolie, was helping my cousin, Roberto, put our bags in the car. I was sorta sad to leave because I couldn't stand being away from my dogs, Toi and Tai. They were brown and white teacup Chihuahuas.  The only thing that was worse then leaving my dogs was we were two days late leaving to New Jersey. Which had throw all of my planning off course. My cousins and I played around for a while because that would be the last time we got fresh air until we got to Jersey City which was 5 hours away. After about 25 minutes of running around and sweating  my mom told everyone to get in the car so we could hit the road. This is when my journey to New Jersey started.
              I wasn't really sure how this vacation was gonna be. I was hoping for the best but expecting the worse. The first 30 minutes of the car ride it was completely quiet. No one said a word not even a noise. So then I ask my grandfather to turn on the radio hoping it would lighten the gloomy feeling. I soon got everyone singing and humming along to every song that came on. This time was a priceless moment. Then my mom started telling us stories about her childhood. The stories she told us really made me appreciation the things that I have an my plivages (sp). It was only about 2 more ours till we got to Jersey so in the meantime I took a nap.
              I suddenly woke up. I noticed no body was in the car with me. I then looked out my window and saw our hotel. I thought to myself, 'They must have left me.' I felt alone and abandoned in a unknown area. I started panicing (sp). My vacation was started to turn bad. I got out the car (which was a bad idea) and ran around trying to look or my family. After countless minutes of trying to found them  I gave up and went back to the car. As I was walking back, I couldn't dare notice but the car was missing! I then started to cry because I was so scared.
