Failing and Finding the American Dream

One day he comes in contact with a Dean Witter employee and notices his luxurious car and later finds out the Dean Witter employee is able to acquire such desires through his handsome salary at the prestigious firm. Chris Gardner finally found an answer to his suffering and sets out for his American Dream by pursuing for a position at Dean Witter through a competitive internship. .
             From everything including being homeless to being involved in a competitive internship with the brokerage firm Dean Witter, Chris Gardner's ambitious spirit set him on a path to fulfilling his golden dreams along with his determination to succeed despite the odds. Although his clothes were torn and tattered, love is all that mattered between Chris Gardner and his son Christopher through their hardships which his why the story of Chris Gardner's pursuit to happiness is a very inspirational and compelling one to tell. He strives towards achieving a job position at Dean Witter no matter the odds, no matter being homeless, and no matter caring for Christopher by himself without the proper financial support to do so. Overall, Chris Gardner keeps his head held up high and manages to land a job at Dean Witter through their competitive internship, then eventually going on to start his own multi-million dollar firm. Not only is Chris Gardner's story very compelling but is a perfect example of someone going from rags to riches in a land of opportunity. .
             My "American Dream" isn't one that is solely set with one intention but on many such as prosperity and happiness.
