The Nature and Necessity of Paper Currency

(Franklin, 2.) Having a new form of currency can make the nation stronger so that you can use it for other forms of purchases and exchanges, because if we don't have a currency then it is more expensive to trade different goods and services than it is to purchase using a specific type of currency. Purchasing power tends to decline when using gold or silver coins because it is not as cost effective therefore paper currency is a more practical form to consume. Gold and silver requires more effort to obtain because it can only be acquired through trading with other countries. Currency and trade essentially go hand in hand. In order to make exchanges you will need to have an adequate amount of currency to begin with since having a low abundance in a specific currency decreases the value of trade. In other words, less trade is equivalent to a low amount of currency and high trade is equivalent to an abundance of currency. .
             A new paper currency increases the amount of money that is circulating around the nation, which then leads to our economy consuming more money because of the amount of people who have settled in. Having more people settling into the country entitles them to enable a plan for housing. Housing requires landlords to charge rent and other fees thus recirculating back into the economy. An abundance supply of currency will lead to having lower interest rates. This idea will encourage many investors to expand in their investments because investors will not lose out on so much money because they will have a less amount to pay back. This is a profitable tactic because it allows people to invest in more assets. .
             If there is a high demand or request for something, then the amount of the goods or services increases because the product is so scarce. If there is a low demand for something, then there tends to be an abundance of that product. This is essentially the concept of supply and demand in the economy.
