Drug Decriminalization in Portugal


            The decriminalization of drugs is a wise alternative to the current policy on drug for number of reasons: Decriminalization would aid of government in maintaining a more balanced, peaceful and safe environment. People all over the world present ideas about how to reduce drug use. Most believe that harsh punishment will lead to a reduction in drugs trafficked, as well as related criminal activity. Others believe that one should have a choice to possess drugs if he or she pleases.
