Racial Inequality in the United States



             Economics.
             The inequalities based on race in the United States involve failing to give equal opportunities to minority children. Minority children do not get better opportunities and this, in turn, denies them a better future. A great number of the children utilize their leisure time in activities like drugs, and this affects their health and well-being. They also get into criminal activities, and they die or end up in prison. The school to prison pipeline is an epidemic that is plaguing schools across the nation. Often students are suspended, expelled or even arrested for minor offenses that leave visits to the principal's office a thing of the past. Statistics have shown that these policies target students of color and those with a history of abuse, neglect, poverty or learning disabilities. In the end, there exists a significant productivity loss as a result of the non-white individuals barred from employment opportunities because of their criminal records. Economic inequality affects the United States significantly. Politicians engage in activities that imply that they support economic inequality, and this has become a continuing trend[CITATION Kra l 1033 ]. Research shows that members of democratic movements and Congress show immense support for economic inequalities. Goods and services get unequally distributed as a result of social stratification[CITATION Chr04 l 1033 ]. Japan and the United States are two highly industrialized and modernized countries. However, social stratification in the two countries totally depends on both economic and cultural factors. Culture has a way of determining the way in which the economy of a given country gets a handle.
             The economic implications of Black Americans differ from that of other minority groups. The Civil Rights act in 1964, together with the heightening economic growth brought about the increased earnings. The changes also raised education level and income from school.
