Jesus also reveals himself as a supernatural Messiah with the healing of the blind man in John 9, and the feeding of the feeding of the 5000 in John 6. Also, Jesus is shown as an in control King when He is on the Cross in Chapter 19. He shows this by taking care of his mother. We witness Jesus being King as He firmly declares, "it is finished" in verse 30. In the Gospel of John, Jesus is portrayed as a supernatural, in controlled King. .
In the book of Matthew, Jesus is described as a Jewish Messiah, who satisfied the Old Testament Prophets. Mark explained Jesus as One who was authoritative. In Luke, Jesus is revealed as the Universal Redeemer, who was harmless. Jesus is portrayed as the one is supernatural, who was always in control, and He is King, in the Gospel of John. Matthew was written from a Jewish approach, and to a Jewish audience. The description of Jesus as Messiah in this book displays Jesus as one who is the fulfiller of the Old Testament Prophets and Laws, even when revealing Christ as described as the new Moses. This shows that Jesus was a Jewish establisher, the fulfiller, and the hope for the Jews. Since Jesus was a Jew, this empowers Him to be the Savior for the Jewish people. Also in Matthew, Jesus is shown as the Fulfiller of the Old Testament. This happens many times through out the Bible, but it is firmly states it in Matthew 5:17.Many of us can view Jesus as the new Moses through Him creating the Kingdom and offering Israel with the grace to be delivered, just as Moses did.
