Education and Sacrificial Parents

If you look around, we don't always hang with our parents. We can barely have a long conversation because we have school and our parents have work and sometimes not even during dinner time because maybe we are not hungry, or we are busy. During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, out of the three principal meals, we only get to talk to them at least 1/3 a day. According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse; the results states that children who do eat dinner with their parents a week have less trouble with drugs, eat healthier, show better performance. Personally, I, my father and sister arrive at home at around 6:30 pm, and even sometimes my mom is still at work, and she usually comes back around 7. Sometimes my Sister or I don't eat during dinner time because it could be either we already ate, and we were on a tight schedule. And during the remaining 5 hrs, there is 1 hour for Dinner, 2-3 hours for school works or free time. And that remaining time we have left is when we rest before we go to school or work again.
From my point of view, most of us abuse our rights, and that's the reason our parents are mad at us and we sometimes talk back which makes it worse. We might be angry at our parents because they are strict, overprotective. But we what we failed to realize is that our parents are parenting us like this because they love and care for our safety and future. Still we disobey them when they lay rules. People hate it when they get scolded, but the question is why can't we follow instructions or requests from our parents? Day and Night our parents work hard for us. And even in their busy schedules, they'd call us and ask us if everything is alright, or do you need anything. But now let's look to ourselves, did we ever ask them if they are doing well? And there are even times that our parents are already stressed out because of work or when they are not feeling well.
