Concepts of Bureaucracy

In the following paper I will show you concepts that relate to bureaucracy at work and give you a better understanding of these concepts and make them easier to identify. Aggregate is the term used to describe a collection of people who share a physical location, but do not have lasting social relations. We would identify this as people who are in the same place such as crowds, audiences, etc. In the article I believe aggregate is exemplified in the monthly meetings. The passage states "we have a monthly meeting with Jeff and he gives us a report of the district." I believe this passage applies due to the fact that, it is a crowd of workers meeting to get the report and after this it is back to work. They do not form lasting relationships here, it is all business oriented.
Group, which can be identified as a family, fan group or in this case a grand jury. A group, is a collection of people who share some attribute, identify with one another and interact with one another. In the article, the grand jury meets to talk about combining all three districts having all mosquito abatements controlled from one central plant. I feel that why there are other groups in this article the grand jury is a great example of a group due to the fact that, they share the same attributes and interact with one another. In their interactions they communicate to find a final common ground for a verdict.
Instrumental leadership can be identified as a type of leadership that is less concerned with ones' feelings. We usually associate this type with men. This is the type of leadership is task or goal oriented. Throughout the article when reading the about different districts I found both were practicing this type of leadership Specifically with OMAD "have just 2 employees and manager works full time just part of the year" They seem to be more focused on the overall goal than the relationship harmony.
