Theories and Methodoligies of Criminal Behavior

This examination did nothing though for the argument on nature versus nurture because it doesn't seem clear to which was more influential the family genes or the criminal environment they were always surrounded with. So a new study about the genetic build of twins came about to help clarify the dispute. By looking at the concordance rates of twins that were identical (same egg) and dizygotic (different eggs) the monozygotic (identical) twins had a higher rate of the same trait within them. This shows that the nature of the twins is connected thoroughly but the research was criticized due to the fact that the twins studied were all brought up the same. Wearing the same clothes, doing the same activities and even being treated the same by their social world. There was never a good grasp on the argument outcome of nature versus nurture. Once the studies reached the final stage of twins who were separated at birth they saw that the nature way of thinking was best fit for the biological reasoning on committing crime. Twins who have never met each other, who didn't even know they had another twin met years after being an adult and saw various similarities that the environment they were raised in had little to no effect on to who they turned out to be. This biological explanation of nature development has altercations with the other ideas that support nurture because ones chromosomes could face a mutation or abnormal abilities. In this case the altered chromosome individual is perceived different but the society he/she lives in. This will have immediate effect on self-acceptance and recognition of ones identity. Biological behaviors alone back up the nature theory in the debate on what causes people to commit crime. .
             The influence on emotional adjustment to certain social situations has effect on a person's personality and trait types within themselves. This is contrast to sociological theories because with psychological aspects of behavior we just focus on the individuals experience and how it changed their state of mind.
