Characters in Gran Torino

The meaning of wisdom is "the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; brains or insight." In the movie "Gran Torino," Walt shows that as he gets older he gets wiser because at the start of the movie he is basically a bully but he changes and Father J he shows that as he gets older he gets wiser because at the start of the movie he believes he knows a lot about life and death and Thao he grows wiser as he gets older as he pushes himself away from a gang and makes better choices.
Walt shows that as he grows older he grows into a wiser person because at the start of the movie people could put Walt into the class of a bully as he is very racist to everyone and he has a go at Father J you can tell he hates the Asians. To prove he hates the Asians here are some quotes "what are all you fish heads looking at anyway" "when I was in Korea we used to stack f@!*s like you 5 feet high and use them for sandbags" and when he had a go at Father J he didn't swear or anything just used words that would affect a priest "I think you're an overeducated 27-year-old virgin who likes to hold the hands of superstitious old ladies and promise them everlasting life." But by the end of the movie Walt has grown into today's society and become wiser because as the film goes on he more or less accepts Thao and Soo like family and also because he goes to confession as Father J wanted and becomes less racist than when he first met the Hmong next door to him.
Father J shows that as he grows older he gets wiser because at the start of the film when he was hosting Walts wife Dorothy's funeral he makes a comment of "death is often a bittersweet occasion for us Catholics bitter in the pain sweet in the salvation" which Walt believes is a bull crap comment for the reason that Walt was in the Korean War and saw a lot of death "I lived for almost three years in Korea, we shot men stabbed them with bayonets, hacked seventeen year olds to death with shovels stuff I'll remember till the day I die.
