Costa Rica and Chemical Happiness

             2. Is the mind a computer program?.
             3. Can the operations of the brain be simulated on a digital computer?" (Searle).
These three defining questions target the heart of the Brain vs. Mind debate as he asks the hard questions that are most important.  .
"Granted that there is more to the mind than the syntactical operations of the digital computer; nonetheless, it might be the case that mental states are at least computational states and mental processes are computational processes operating over the formal structure of these mental states," (Searle).
This argument made by Searle is directly related to the Church-Turing thesis, which states that, "any real-world computation can be translated into an equivalent computation involving a Turing machine," (Dover). This raises the next question what exactly is a, "Turning Machine"? The answer to this is far from simple but involves a complex "theoretical computing machine" that invented by Alan Turing, (Dover). This, "theoretical computing machine," is much like, "modern electronic computers at certain theoretical level, but differ in many details," (Wolfram). In Turing's thesis, he states that, "both I, the human computer, and the mechanical computer are implementing the same algorithm; I am doing it consciously, the mechanical computer non consciously," (Searle). This claim made by Turing defines the theory behind the brain is nothing more than a supercomputer and attempts to dismantle any other arguments made towards the mind side of the argument. This argument made by Turing can renounce any theoretical thoughts on cognitive brain processes and will lead the audience to concur that you brain is nothing more than, "chemicals, neurons, and one complex computer," (Searle).
Happiness is a simple chain of chemical reactions that occur in the brain following specific stimuli.
