Bioethical Issue: Mandatory DNA Fingerprinting

For instance, the criminals will be easily identifiable and many face discriminatory actions for the rest of their lives" (livinghealth360.com). That is completely understandable as well. Just because someone commits a crime does not mean they can't change or become a productive member of society. I totally agree that people need to have their rights protected and criminals need to not be discriminated against, but at what costs?.
I think in this case that the good outweighs the bad and I'm all for the mandatory DNA fingerprinting. If someone commits a crime I feel that they have given up certain rights and it is the duty of the people to put them behind bars and give the victims family justice. Maybe they could just do DNA fingerprinting for violent crimes so that way not all criminals, ones that commit petty crimes, are in the database. They could also restrict the database so that only law enforcement personnel can access it and only to help in a criminal case. I think it would help the American people feel more protected and it could even help more people think before they act!.
Bioethical Issue: Should BPA be Banned? .
"BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960's. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottler. They may also be used in other consumer goods" (mayoclinic.org). When I am first reading about what BPA is, there doesn't seem to be much wrong with it. They use it to make plastic containers, hey that's ok. But after doing more extensive research, I have found there are some definite cons to having BPA in plastics. "Some research has shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from a container that is made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on the brain, behavior, and prostate glands in fetuses, infants, and children" (mayoclinic.
