Iago, a duplited villioned charecter of Shakespeare, in the play called Othello. On the other hand, Macbeth, again a play character of Shakespeare, is also considered as a duplitions villion. Both charecters have same quanteties, they deceive people for their own benefit. Ambitions, jealousy and lust for power are their reasons for being a traitorous. There are lots of quotations in both books that show their malice.
First, in the book Othello, Iago seems to be a good friend of Othello and a faithful soldier, in the beginning of the book. Then we star to see his real face by his language and asides. ''.I have't. It is engendered. Hell and Night Must bring this monstrous birth to the world's light.''(Iago,1,3,396) This quotation clearifes how devil is Iago and how sly he is, because of his plans. By these quote we understand that he is trying to make Othello a monster by telling him lies and persuading him. Moreover the proofs continous by Iago's asides. By the way when someone is talking aside it means that he/she is speking to his/herself aso that the audience can understand what are his ideas. ''O, you are well tuned now! But I'll set down the pegs that make this music, as honest as I am.''(2,1,194). Moreover, the language Iago uses is also shows his treachery. For instance when he is away from Othello he uses the slang word ''moor'' for Othello to denigrate him. Also in the pasage (2.1.215-242) the real face of Iago and his devilish plans appear. ''You see this fellow that is gone before he is a soldier. 'tis pity of him. will shake this island.''(2,3,115) This passage of Iago shows how his language changes when he talks to someonelse. He changes his language to deceive people. This way people people believe him and after that he gets control of other people. He uses people as tongs to use them for his own aims. This quanteties of him makes him a real traitor.
