Compare and Contrast Ireland and China

What do you think of when you hear the word "Ireland"? Green grass, hills, dancing? How about "China"? Egg rolls, dragons, crowds? You would think that they are two completely different nations with their own separate governments, religion, healthcare and cultures. But, in fact, they have many similarities as well. As you know, China is a huge country in eastern Asia. It is the world's largest country in population and the third largest in area. About a fifth of the world's people live in China causing it to be very cluttered. Ireland is a vast land of blue mountains and forest parks, mazy lakes and windswept moors, white Atlantic sands, an inland sea. .
The land is very different between these two nations. Ireland is mainly flat plains because much of the old growth forests that once stood in Ireland have been cut down for agriculture. Most of Ireland's land is very fertile and good for farming. China on the other hand has very little usable land because much of china is mountainous. This is why there is so much overcrowding in china. Very little land can actually be used for farming, industry, and things of that nature. Though china has one of the largest masses of territory on earth, the people are concentrated in the space habitable regions. The only reason that china is such a great exporter to the world in terms of food is simply because of its mass. A small percentage of its land is arable but that small percentage is massive in terms of land.
The governments of these countries are drastically different. China is ruled by a system of communism and this system, though oppressive, seems to be one of the best ways to rule China. A democracy such as ours could take years and years to make a little decision (like adding a new law) become a possibility of being instituted. For China, communism is quick and easy. Ireland, on the other hand, uses a completely different system to govern its land.
