It seemed like it was going to be a blast. Mike and John had never lived with each other before so at first they had tiny differences on the way they lived. Mike was real lazy and sort of a slob, and John was more of a tidy guy. They had differences but they were worked out with each other right away. As a couple weeks passed by I started to notice that these little differences were turning into big differences. Instead of trying to work them out with each other, they started differentiating. They both had very different schedules so one would be up late making a lot of noise and the other would be trying to sleep. They stopped playing video games with each other. I guess they were both trying to reassert their own identity. .
As of right now, I believe that they are between the stagnating stage and avoiding stage of falling apart. There is hardly any communication between the two as of now. And when they do communicate, the conversation doesn't last very long and they stick to talking about something that neither of them would get mad about. I think that for the rest of the year, they are going to stay in the falling apart stages, and then once we move out of the apartment in the springtime, the relationship will probably be terminated. .
About a month ago, the relationship hit it's all time worst. Mike and John both liked the same girl, but of course only one of them could be with her. A girl coming between two friends is in my opinion the worst thing that can happen. As it turns out, Mike was the one who landed the girl, and John became very jealous. A third person had come between the two of them and was making John feel really jealous. Also John hasn't done anything to cope with the jealousy he's feeling. I can still see it in his eyes that he is hurting. Usually when one feels jealous he will do something about it or change him/her self in some way, but not John. He just sits in his room most of the time moping and feeling terrible about him.
