Lillies of the Valley

Jessica wondered how she had gotten herself into this mess. One minute she was eating lunch with Adam Waters and the next they were getting married.
They had finished their lunch and Adam wanted to show Jessie some material that had come in a couple days before, so he suggested they go to the store and look at it.-------------------- She was impressed with it, but she wouldn't tell him that. It did need a woman's touch, she thought, it could use curtains on the windows and some chairs around the stove. The store should carry a few more women's trinkets and gadgets and she could just imagine it at Christmas time when the decorations were hanging around the store.
Next, Adam had shown her the upstairs, neither one really thinking how in appropriate it would be for her to be in his bedroom. After all he really didn't have a bedroom, the second floor of the store was one big room. Rather messy, but still it was Adam's living quarters and he was a bachelor so she didn't expect him to be tidy. He had some material stored up there that he wanted to show her and get her opinion on for curtains. So up they went, which is where everything went wrong, Jessica thought.
"Excuse the mess," Adam apologized, "I wasn't expecting company." He pawed through some crates and found the material he was looking for. "Here it is." He remarked.
"Jessica took the bolt of cloth and went towards the front of the room with it, by the windows, so she could see it better. The only flat surface that was clean was Adam's bed, so she laid it out on the bed and turned back real quick towards Adam to tell him something, not realizing he was right behind her. She bumped into him and they both fell on the bed, her on her back, him on her. It was at this moment that Henry and Ed XXXXXX came in looking for the couple. What a surprise they found.
So after much arguing and shouting, Adam agreed to marry Jessica. Everytime Jessica tried to speak up, all three men, told her to hush up or that it wasn't her affair.
