Winter is not forever

Winter is Not Forever, by Janette Oke, is a Christian fiction book of 128 pages.
The book Winter is Not Forever is a story about Joshua Chadwick Jones. His grandfather, great uncle and young aunt raised Josh after his own parents were killed in an accident when he was only a baby. Once Josh reached his late teens, he lived with his Aunt Lou and her preacher husband, Nat Crawford, and went to school in town. On the weekends he returned to the farm to spend time with his family and friends. When Josh knew his high school graduation was less than a month away he had to have a plan for his future. He prayed to God and said to him what am I going to do after graduation am I going to be a minister-or what? He talked to his family and friends about his future, and knew his friend Willie already had his future clearly mapped out. God called Willie to be a missionary; Willie would leave for a Bible school in the Eastern United States at the end of the summer. Josh even talked about his future with his schoolmaster Mrs. Foggelson. Mrs. Foggleson knew Josh would be happy with whatever plan God would call him to be. That night when Josh went to bed God said to Josh, I have watched Mrs.Foggelson she loves to teach children and you and her have the same character traits. I know you would love to be a teacher and to see children that you teach grow up and learn about life. God told Josh to go to college and learn how to be a Christian schoolteacher. Josh would leave after graduation to attend a teacher's convention, and teach at Logan Christian School.
A person can learn many lessons from Josh's life. Josh had no idea what future plan God had prepared for him. He always kept on praying to God and knew God had a plan for him. He never gave up on the strong, personal commitment to his faith in God.
