            Analyze the presence of political allegory in the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell.
             Many literal works have hidden symbols, otherwise known as allegory. These hidden symbols usually represent current events. In the book Animal Farm political allegory is shown. From the Merriam Dictionary, allegory means a symbolic representation. Hence, political allegory means that symbols are representing political characters in a work. Throughout the book Animal Farm political allegory is shown in many ways.
             "Animal Farm was the first book in which I tried, with full consciousness of what I was doing, to fuse political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole"(Draper, Orwell, 2573). This quote is to inform the reader that political allegory is fused together with the animals in this book. George Orwell had written most of his books after 1936 against totalitarianism, which means that the ruler has complete control over his subjects. In Animal Farm it shows how the animals rebelled against the humans, the farm owners. .
             Then as the animals, just as humans, begin to start their "Government", or ruling ways, you see corruption and unfair situations. .
             As the book goes on see how Orwell makes characters resemble real people. For one example we can take Old Major. In terms of the Russian revolution Old .
             Major is compared to Karl Marx. Karl Marx was the major theoretician behind the Communistic ideals. Old Major was basically the leader until he pasted away in the .
             beginning of the book. Now Old Major was a wise animal that the other animals on the farm liked to listen to. Before he past away he had all ideas on how to run the farm without humans and how to make a windmill. Just a couple of days after he past away the pigs came into play, Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon was basically the exact opposite of Snowball. Snowball was a straight out kind of person who told you what was on his mind and Napoleon was the kind of guy that kept his ideas basically to himself, like a real stern and greedy ruler.
