Three years she grew

She would become active while at the same time being able to be still and silent. During stormy weather, she shall see grace that will "mold [her] Maiden's form" (ln 23). She shall become beautiful through the sounds that she will hear as well as develop into a stately virgin. Lucy and Nature will then live happily together within the "dell" and Lucy will grow into this beautiful being through Nature's thoughts and care. Wordsworth shows that he places much faith in Nature to raise such a young thing into his ideal woman that he will be able to continuously experience through nature. .
In accordance with his own reverence, Wordsworth writes of how even Nature herself admits to being overtaken by Lucy. Lucy and nature are both very dear to his heart so when Nature admits to this occurring, it seems expected. Nature confesses that "for [Lucy] the willow will bend" and "The floating clouds their state shall lend to her" (ln 20 and 19). From Nature, Lucy will take all there is to give, and Nature is happy about this and takes pride in the fact that she has so much to give for Lucy to grow on. .
With a loose connection to Milton's belief that poets are meant to inform the masses, he is acknowledging to all that Nature will take good are of the deceased; especially children. However, he also follows another trait of the Romantics and acknowledges his own feelings of misery that follow a beloved's death and how "She died and left to [him] The memory of what has been/And never more will be" (ln 39-42). With some wistfulness, he talks of how he still has his health as well as the calm and quiet and all he"ll be able to do is remember what it was like when Lucy was around. .
Wordsworth also touches on a fascination with the supernatural in the fact that he is conversing with Nature. Through a one-sided conversation with Nature, Wordsworth shows his astonishment at all he believes nature is able to do for a person.
