Adam and eve

Adam being made of the dust of the Earth but is made alive from the breath of God makes this perfect balance. This perfect balance makes his life have order and before Eve was created Adam was cooperative with all of God's commands. .
             Moments after giving life to Adam, God created a garden east of Eden to house this newly born being. God then placed the tree of life and the tree knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden. The choice of place and its location very key to this story. A garden is a perfect example of Eros because in a garden one organizes where certain plants will be, where grass will lay or what color arrangement of flowers should be used. One could agree that a garden must be well organized otherwise it would be called a yard. The location of the garden also becomes more Eros as it put in the east of Eden. Eros is often associated with right handedness or the right side in general. When something is correct we often say, "that's right" insinuating that anything to the left would be wrong. Thus by putting this well organized garden and placing it east of Eden, or on the right side, indicates that this is the most perfect or most Eros place ever made. From this moment this garden is now dubbed the Garden of Eden. Immediately after placing Adam in the Garden of Eden God presents himself as the typical father figure, the authoritative rule enforcer, that commands and intimidates. The rules that God set forth were: that they should eat from any tree in the garden "but from the tree of knowledge of good and evil they should not, for when they partake of it they should surely die." These set of rules set forth by God creates a line that divides obedience and defiance thus setting the stage for the Oedipal conflict. .
             As the story progresses, God sees that Adam is alone and takes one of Adam's ribs and forms Eve. God sees the potential defiance in Adam and in an attempt to reform him and condition him to be a follower of the rules by giving him stewardship over someone.
