             Give a boy a gun is story about 2 kids at school that are tormented their whole life and end up in a whole mess of trouble. Gary and Brendan are the boys names and during the book you find out that they are gay. All through most of high school they were made fun of and laughed at by many especially the one that made most fun. His name was Sam Flach. He was a popular football player that was liked by many. After all this harassing and beating up they finally had had enough. They end up booby trapping all the doors with homade bombs at a school dance. They stole all their guns from a neighbors house. When it's all over, Gary kills himself and Brendan is in a coma after being beaten up so badly after his weapon was disarmed by other students. Flach is still alive but he has no hope for a future career in football. .
             The main thing in this story was why did this happen and could it have been prevented. It was based on all the school shootings including the Columbine one not too long ago. This was a difficult book to read at times because I myself know that this kind of harassing goes on in the school on a daily bases just like in the story, and I"m afraid that if this keeps up I could be in danger as well as everybody in the school. I shouldn't be and this problem has to end. All people have to realize that the name calling and being made fun of could all turn around and slap you in the face. It all needs to stop now .
