Political rights of women in Kazakhstan

             In the following chapters the work will be based on the objects to compare the level of using political rights between men and women and to find out the reasons for "unequal correlation of representation of both sexes" in political sphere of our country. .
             Theoretical framework.
             The equality of rights between men and women was proclaimed in many countries by their governments in the 20th century. Since that moment a second stage, of hidden or indirect breach of women's rights began. Actually, Kazakhstan declares equality of rights for men and women in all spheres of activity. However, women are unable to put this principle into practice. It should be noted that the majority of formal laws concern exactly the rights of women, including their political rights (Ibraeva 2003:11) .
             Inequality between the sexes is mainly based on gender stereotypes, which mean that women's rights were limited both in traditional nomadic Kazakh culture and in the soviet system before transition.
             Gender stereotypes are the ideas of the society about the rights of both sexes. .
             Gender stereotypes are almost the same in different societies and the only thing that differs them is the level of its depth and strength. As sociology defines the roots of gender stereotypes, as people strongly define their gender identity (Ibraeva 2003:12).
             Gender identity is the conception of people about themselves in defining their gender. .
             Starting from this point we can see that the gender identity refers to any of the societies and the Kazakhstani one is not exclusion. Because of the cultural principals and historical background the gender identity in our society sharply shapes the gender roles. It is obvious that the society dictates its members the expected behavior, especially with regards to the genders. Therefore, personality is designed by those traits that are given to him or her by the society (Ibraeva 2003:11).
