             In 2002 advertisers spent £3.1bn on TV advertising in Britain. ITV companies received 53.7 per cent of this although their share has now dropped to 52 per cent. This is a staggeringly large amount of money. Although ITV only hast 24.5% of the market, as apposed to the 22.3% held by cable television, this is far too much money being spent of advertising. .
