            The online company I selected was Honda dot com. Honda is a major dealer in the United States. Honda offers a wide range of products. All of their products deal with some type of motor driven products. Automobiles, Street Bikes, Dirt Bikes, ATV's, PWC's, and lawn care are the products that they are marketing. One of their biggest sellers is the Honda Civic. It has been the best selling car in its class for the last three years in a row. Not to mention the fact that it is priced to sell. .
             Honda as a company uses segmentation. A type of segmentation called usage-based market segmentation. They sell their products to a wide range of people who want or need specific requirements. Honda customizes visitor experiences to match the site usage behavior patterns of each visitor or type of visitor. .
             The company actually targets a wide range of people. Honda is one of the few companies that offer such a wide selection of products to a wide range of people. For example younger people in the age range of 16 to 30 are more likely to buy a Honda Civic as opposed to an Acura witch is a larger more expensive car. With the advancement of aftermarket parts that is another reason the Civic is targeted to a younger age. Honda's personal watercraft and ATV line is also geared towards a younger audience. The younger target audience is more likely to buy a something like that because they ignore the potential risks involved while operating one. .
             The company has many competitors. Not many other companies manufacture as much as Honda but competitors are still there. In the automobile line, Kia, Suzuki, and small American cars such as the Ford Focus, and Dodge Neon are the biggest rivals. They are all in market competition for top performance compact cars. These target younger audiences that are more willing to buy. In the motorcycle, ATV line, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki are going to be the biggest competitors.
