Henry ford

Henry Ford was an industrialist, inventor, and an automobile manufacturer. He was born in Wayne County, Michigan. He started at the bottom of the industrial ladder and eventually moved up to be among the greatest entrepreneurs ever known. .
Born on June 30, 1863, he was the son of Irish immigrants, William and Mary Ford. They lived on a small farm in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford went to a one room type school for early and elementary education. When the summer came around Ford spent most of his time helping his father with the harvest. Ford however did not like the farm life, so when he turned 16 he moved to Detroit to be a machinists apprentice. He got his apprentice position in Detroit and stayed there for several years. It was here that he would learn all about the internal combustion engine. Once his time there was done he moved back home to work at the Westing House Engine Company. Over time he opened his own machine shop where he worked at perfecting the engine. Around the same period that he was opening his machine shop he found love in Clara Bryant. The two were married in 1888 in Wayne County.(Henry p.1).
After many more years the two moved back to Detroit. Henry had been promoted to chief engineer of the Detroit Edison Company. Having this position meant that Ford had to be prepared to go at a moments notice. These irregular hours had an advantage though, the time in between gave him plenty of time to tinker with his gasoline powered vehicles. By this time, Ford had been working at "horseless carriages" and automobiles for only a few years. His first vehicle was the "Quadri-cycle". This contraption was basically a normal horse buggy with an internal combustion engine. He had finally completed it in 1896. A year later he sold it for money .
to work on other creations. (Henry p.1).
Over the next few years Ford still continued to improve on his vehicles. He was very determined to make his dream of the affordable automobile a reality.
